About the use of cookies

We can collect information about the user’s device through cookies and other similar technologies. A cookie is a small text file that the browser stores to the user’s device. Cookies often contain an anonymous unique identifier that allows us to identify and calculate browsers visiting our website. 

Cookies do not move online on their own but are placed on the user device only with the site called by the user. Only the server that sent the cookie can later read and use the cookie. Using cookies and other similar technologies, we collect information about how and when our services are used: for example, from what page the user has entered the service, when and what websites the user has browsed, which browser the user uses, what is the user’s screen resolution, the operating system of the device and its version, and the IP address.

The user cannot be identified by using cookies alone. In view of privacy legislation, information obtained through cookies and other similar techniques may be linked to personal data obtained from the user in another context may be used to develop our services more and more in line with the preferences of the user, and to tailor content, marketing communications and advertising.

Third-party cookies and community plugins

The so-called first-party cookies are set by the site displayed in the address bar. In addition to these, we use cookies from so-called third parties, such as advertising networks, measurement and tracking service providers and social media services. We will, through contractual arrangements, ensure that these third parties comply with existing legislation and with the industry’s self-regulatory guidelines.

We use Piwik PRO Analytics Suite as our website analytics software. Piwik PRO collects data about website visitors based on cookies. Piwik PRO calculates metrics like bounce rate, page views, sessions and the like to understand how the website is used. Piwik PRO may also create visitors’ profiles based on browsing history to analyze visitor behavior, show personalized content and run online campaigns.

Piwik PRO solution is hosted on Microsoft Azure in Germany and the data is stored for 14 months.

The purpose of data processing: analytics and conversion tracking based on consent. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. Piwik PRO does not send the data about the users to any other sub-processors or third parties and does not use it for its own purposes. For more, read Piwik PRO’s privacy policy.

Our service may use so-called community plugins such as Facebook tracking pixel, Twitter website tag or LinkedIn Insight tag. These are used to target advertising on social media.

Advertising cookies and social media cookies:

These cookies store information about the user’s visit, pages that have been viewed by the user and links that the user has opened.
